For anyone whose schedule doesn’t follow a midnight-to-midnight routine, it would be incredibly helpful to choose when a new day begins and ends. This would make tracking feel much more natural for people who work nights, graveyard shifts, or sleep during the day and stay awake overnight.
Why this would help:
Start your day when your routine actually starts — for example, at 3 PM, 6 AM, or 7 PM instead of having everything reset at midnight.
Make overnight tracking less confusing when work, meals, and daily habits span two calendar dates.
Support graveyard and night-shift schedules, such as working 6:30 PM to 7 AM and sleeping in the morning.
Keep meals and other daily logs grouped into one “day” based on your real schedule, so they don’t suddenly split in half at midnight.
Let users define both the start and end of their day, or even adjust the effective length of their day to better match how they live.
Create a true “night shift mode” for people who are up all night and sleep most of the day.
Right now, some users have to mentally treat the next calendar day as the start of their day just to avoid the midnight reset, which is awkward and easy to mix up. A customizable day start time would make tracking simpler, clearer, and much more useful for shift workers — and it’s a feature people are excited enough to pay for.
