Fiber is a big part of how many people eat and track their health, and it should be just as easy to see as calories, protein, carbs, and fat. This idea would make fiber visible across the app at the meal level, so you can quickly understand how much fiber you’re getting with breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, custom meals, and even individual foods.
See fiber for every meal at a glance so it appears alongside your other meal totals and macro breakdowns.
Include fiber in meal goals at the top with calories, protein, carbs, and fat, so each meal shows how it contributes toward your target.
Show fiber in the breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack mini summaries, not just in the daily total.
Display fiber in custom meal creation screens too, so you don’t have to open each ingredient and manually add it up when building or editing a meal.
Show fiber for individual foods on the main meal view/diary, making it easier to spot where your fiber is coming from without extra taps.
Support daily fiber goals and progress just like other key nutrition targets, so it’s easier to track everything in one place.
Make it easier to repeat successful meals when a meal helped you hit your fiber target and you want to use it again on another day.
People are tracking fiber for many different reasons, including:
Managing blood sugar and building more balanced meals
Supporting hormone and menopause-related nutrition goals
Following guidance from a dietitian or nutritionist
Focusing on fiber as one of the most important nutrition metrics, sometimes even more than fat or net carbs
Learning which meals help them reach — or even exceed — their fiber goal so they can recreate that success
For many users, net carbs alone aren’t enough — they want to see actual fiber by meal to better understand how they’re eating.
A clear but compact fiber label/icon if space is limited
The option to see fiber broken down further (such as soluble and insoluble fiber) in the nutrition details
This would make fiber much easier to track, easier to learn from, and easier to act on day to day.
